Think Smart Academy was founded in 2015 with a simple belief: that every child, regardless of background, deserves access to expert tutoring that gets results. What started as a single tutoring centre in Slough has grown into a trusted institution with two thriving locations and a team of over 16 dedicated tutors.
Over the past decade, we've helped more than 1,000 students secure places at grammar schools including Langley Grammar, Herschel Grammar, RGS High Wycombe, and John Hampden Grammar. We've supported thousands more through their GCSEs, A-Levels, and Key Stage 3 studies — helping them build the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
In 2019, we opened our second centre in High Wycombe to serve families in the wider Buckinghamshire area. Today, both centres run at near-capacity during term time, which is something we're immensely proud of — not because of the numbers, but because it means more children are getting the support they need.
We've never been interested in being the biggest tutoring company. We care about being the best. That means small groups, qualified tutors, personalised plans, and a relentless focus on outcomes. It means knowing every student's name, understanding their strengths and struggles, and working alongside parents to make real progress.

Our team of 16+ tutors are qualified subject specialists — not students earning pocket money. Every tutor is DBS-checked, trained in our methodology, and passionate about helping young people succeed. Many have been with us for years.

Safeguarding & DBS
Your child's safety is our highest priority. Every tutor at Think Smart Academy holds an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, which is renewed regularly. No exceptions.
All staff receive annual safeguarding training in line with the latest government guidelines. We have a designated Safeguarding Lead at each centre who is responsible for child protection procedures.
Our centres are equipped with CCTV in all communal areas, and we maintain strict sign-in and sign-out procedures for every child. Parents can request to see our full safeguarding policy at any time.
