11+ Tuition in Slough
Targeted preparation for grammar school entrance exams, building confidence, technique, and subject mastery across all four 11+ disciplines.
Give Your Child the Best Chance at Grammar School
The 11+ is one of the most competitive exams your child will face. With thousands of students sitting the same test for a limited number of places, preparation is not optional, it is essential. At Think Smart Academy in Slough, we have spent over a decade helping children not just pass the 11+ but score highly enough to secure their first-choice grammar school.
Our approach goes beyond drilling past papers. We teach students to understand the underlying principles behind each question type, develop efficient time-management strategies, and build the resilience needed to perform under exam conditions. Every child who walks through our doors receives a free diagnostic assessment so we can identify their strengths and target their weaknesses from day one.
Whether your child is a strong student aiming for a top score or needs focused support to bridge gaps, our structured programme adapts to meet them where they are. We have helped students from over 40 primary schools across Slough, Langley, Colnbrook, Iver, and the surrounding areas achieve grammar school places.

The Four Slough Consortium Grammar Schools
One 11+ test, sat on Saturday 19 September 2026, covers all four Slough Consortium grammar schools. A standardised score of 111+ (standardised) makes a child eligible for consideration, each school then applies its own oversubscription criteria.
| School | Type | Ofsted | Year 7 places (PAN) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Herschel Grammar School | Co-educational | Outstanding (2024) | 150 |
| Upton Court Grammar School | Co-educational | Outstanding (2022) | 165 |
| Langley Grammar School | Co-educational | Ofsted: Strong standard across all areas (2026) | 180 |
| St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School | Co-educational | Outstanding (2023) | 150 |
All four schools use the same GL Assessment test (moving to Quest Assessments from September 2027, see the FAQ below). Each school's oversubscription criteria, catchment area, and Pupil Premium provision differ, see our grammar school 11+ guides for the full admissions policy of each school.

What Parents Say
"My daughter was struggling with verbal reasoning and I was worried she wouldn't be ready in time. Think Smart identified exactly where the gaps were and worked on them systematically. She got into Langley Grammar, her first choice. I cannot recommend them enough."
Priya S.
"We started in Year 4 and the progress was incredible. The mock exams were especially helpful because my son knew exactly what to expect on the day. He scored in the top 5% in the GL Assessment. Thank you, Think Smart!"
